Technocode is a not-for-profit educational initiative by PROF SANDEEP SIR. It is a global programming community that fosters learning and friendly competition, built on top of the world’s largest competitive programming platform. We have also built a large community of problem curators.
Technocode was created as a platform to help programmers make it big in the world of algorithms, computer programming, and programming contests. We host every weekend contest of every month and we publish the rankings of the winners for their encouragement.
How It All Started And When?
It was in the year 2018 that we had started Technocode. The goal was to improve and expand the programming community. we had made the event for improving programming skills and knowledge of students for placement purpose. It was a phase in Institute when we as an organization wanted to make a transition. We wanted to build some great product. It was a big leap for us. The question was how? We came to know about the various platforms on which the competitions can be hosted through a few of our laterals. We explored more and it is then that we figured out for the first time, the value of competitive programming, also termed as Sports Programming. There was a direct correlation between the best software engineers and the best competitive programmers.
We came to know how poorly India has been performing at the various prestigious international programming event. In spite of the vast amount of intellectual talent available in the country, our performance has not been close to top notch. It was disheartening to see India lagging behind so much when it came to solving complex programming problems. We launched Technocode as an experiment to address this situation. We wanted Institute students to have fun while improving. It was also important for us to bring the global competition home so that we can learn to compete with the best out there.
